What to know about this area
The Bronx is the borough we are asked about most for Westchester and Connecticut connections — Riverdale to Greenwich is a routine run for us.
LaGuardia is the closest airport from most of the Bronx, and the rate reflects that.
City Island and the eastern Bronx are poorly served by rideshare. A booked car is often the only reliable option for an early departure.
The Westchester and Connecticut connection
More than any other borough, Bronx bookings continue northward. Riverdale to Greenwich or Stamford is routine work, and the geography makes the Bronx the natural staging point for anything heading into lower Westchester or Fairfield County.
It also means Newark is more reasonable from here than from Brooklyn or Queens, because the George Washington Bridge route avoids crossing Manhattan altogether. That is not obvious from a map and it makes a real difference to the journey time.
For onward runs into Connecticut, see our city-to-city rates — many clients book the Bronx pickup and the Connecticut leg together as a single flat-rated journey.
Eastern neighbourhoods and reliability
City Island, Country Club and Throgs Neck are poorly served by both subway and rideshare, and for an early departure a booked car is frequently the only dependable option rather than the comfortable one.
LaGuardia is the closest airport from most of the borough, usually via the Whitestone or Throgs Neck crossing, and the published rate reflects that shorter run.
Riverdale and Fieldston sit far enough west that the Henry Hudson route into Manhattan is quicker than most residents expect outside peak hours.
