City-to-City Car Service from NYC

Home Services City-to-City Car Service from NYC

Rodriguez Luxury Cars runs long-distance car service from New York City to the Hamptons, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C. and across Connecticut and New Jersey. Journeys are flat-rated per trip rather than hourly, with one chauffeur door to door and all tolls included. Hamptons transfers start at $495.

Why long distance is flat-rated rather than hourly

On a long run the hours are predictable and the mileage is not something you should be paying to manage. A flat rate per journey means a slow stretch on the Long Island Expressway costs you nothing.

It also removes the awkwardness of watching a clock on a four-hour drive. The figure is agreed before you leave, tolls included, and that is the end of it.

Where a booking genuinely needs the car at the other end — a day in Philadelphia with meetings, say — hourly is the better instrument and we will say so.

Comfort on a long run is a different problem

A ninety-minute airport transfer and a four-hour run to Boston are not the same product. On the longer journey the things that matter are cabin noise, seat comfort, the ability to work, and a chauffeur who understands that stopping is sometimes necessary.

We plan a break on anything over three hours as a matter of course rather than waiting to be asked. On the Boston and Washington runs that is not optional for the chauffeur either.

For working journeys the Sprinter is worth considering even for two or three people — the seating configuration makes a laptop genuinely usable in a way a sedan back seat does not.

The Hamptons in season

The Friday afternoon eastbound run in summer is the most reliably difficult journey we operate, and no operator can promise otherwise. What we can do is leave earlier and route around the worst of it.

Booking well ahead matters more here than anywhere else in our work. Summer weekend availability goes early, and a Friday request made on Thursday is frequently one we cannot fill.

Returning Sunday evening is the same problem in reverse. Where a schedule allows, travelling Sunday morning or Monday early is a materially better journey.

Frequently asked questions

From $495 in a Business Sedan, all-inclusive of tolls and gratuity. The journey runs two and a quarter to three and a half hours depending on the day and the season.

Yes. Both are regular runs — Boston is roughly three and three-quarter to five hours, Washington four to five and a half. Published flat rates apply to both.

Flat rate per journey. That keeps the traffic risk with us rather than you, which matters most on the routes where delay is likeliest.

Yes, and for a same-day return an hourly booking is usually the better arrangement. Tell us the plan and we will quote whichever structure works out lower.

As early as you reasonably can. Summer weekend availability goes early, and Friday eastbound requests made the day before are frequently ones we cannot fill.
